Game #12 - Sunday, April 25, 2011 at 1:35 P.M. - Even more empty seats for this one. You could say it's Easter, the economy, attendance continuing to drop, whatever. Went to the game with Bob, Nat, and Laurie. Met up with Martin and Trish. Not much to say to this. Arrieta is for real. Britton, Guthrie, and Matusz when he comes back are a legit starting 4 on this team, maybe not on others. Otherwise this team stinks. That's not stopping me from coming. The reaction Mariano Rivera came out to close, rivals the reaction for the team during the Orange Carpet Ceremony on opening day. Team plummets to 8-12 with Boston coming next. Rain delays may or may not be a conspiracy or halt momentum, but this team is not playing as advertised.
Game #11 - Saturday, April 23, 2011 at 7:05 P.M. - The New York Yankees were here and there is an ongoing debate/crisis if you will about New York and Boston coming down and taking over the yard. It's what it is. Focusing on the "negatives" is not going to make it go away. Kyle and I were in the foul pole vicinity again.
Game #9 - Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at 7:05 P.M. This was family/friendship/roommate night. I met up with The Mellin's! Early on we left our seats in the 300's behind home plate to move down to Section 16 again. We were on tv during the Smile Cam and 7th Inning Stretch for "Thank God I'm A Country Boy"!!! My first visit to the Natty Boh Bar! I am happy to see Heavy Seas and Flying Dog being served in several locations around the facility! This night was fun.
Game #8 - Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at 7:05 P.M. This may turn out to be one of my favorite game's of the year. Pete and Shaun were there. Good times for sure. Pete had a good feeling about this one and he was right. Thanks to John and Cindy for spotting us on TV over in Section 8 by the foul pole. Thanks to Kim, Eric, John, and Cindy for the screen captures. Joanna spotted me and gave me a call, and herself, Jesse, Matt, and Kim joined us in our tv section. This may end up being one of the most fun times I have at a game this season. But aren't they all!
Game #6 - Sunday, April 10, 2011 at 1:35 P.M. First home Sunday game of the year. First homestand comes to an end. Beforehand got to hang out with Willy, Bridget, Steve, Bob, and Erin at Pickles. Hung out with Kyle, Channing and Nate over in the foul pole area. Congratulations to Kyle and Channing for make the kiss-cam! ;)
Games #4 and #5 - Saturday, April 9, 2011 at 4:05 and 7:05 P.M. respectively. This is the double-header vs. Texas. The night before should of been postponed much earlier than it was. I ended up meeting Mackenzie at the Potbelly Sandwich instead of the stadium for baseball, oh well. But yeah... These are my first games going solo. I must admit, I like going to games alone. I love my own company but I also enjoy the company of other's. I know some pals were in and around the stadium, but 6 hours of baseball can be a stretch A double-header split, which is typical. In-between games I met up with Tony G. I will add notes about the games when necessary and will edit posts as the season goes by. Highlight was the Golden Retriever Rescue in the Orioles Reach Booth! :
Game #3 - Thursday, April 7, 2011 at 7:05 P.M. I like the new food choices from Delaware North. The sandwiches at Deli 54 are very good. Hung out with Tom G. on this nice evening in Section 16. Later on I was at the Club Level, hanging out with Ed and Becky. We each got a picture of the Orioles Bird, photo to come. Thanks to Joyce in the club level for all the great hospitality and emotion.
Game #2 - Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at 7:05 P.M. Opening night was pure joy! I got my picture with Luke Scott and The Orioles Bird! Good to hang out with Laura and Ryan on this night. I would like to give Robert in Section 16 a shout out. He has been an usher with the Orioles for 41 years and always takes care of my friends and I. Thank you friend.
Game #1 - Monday, April 4, 2011 at 3:05 P.M. RIP, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Everyone is so happy on this day. What else needs to be said? :) Everything is looking up and the Orioles go 4-0. Great to hang out with Kim, Eric, Tracy, Brian, Kyle, Chris, Josh, Stacy, Pete, Ryan and everyone else on this day. The Orange Carpet Ceremonies is the most beautiful thing ever! Such emotion!
