Game #63 - Saturday, August 14, 2011 at 7:05 P.M. It was bff day today with Kim. The rain stopped in time for the game. More importantly, this was the Orioles Hall-Of-Fame ceremony. I always enjoy this day and it makes me appreciate what past players meant to this team and this city. Congratulations to Mike Bordick and Richie Bancells. These ceremonies always get to me and I do get emotional, sometimes to the point of tears. This year was sad, partially because there were maybe only a 1,000 people in there seats to watch. With the on-and-off rain that was to be expected. Sometimes you hear stirring music that accompanies a film or ceremony which can lead to tears. In other instances it comes off as forced and insincere, that it becomes patronizing. This music and ceremony was more the former. The Orioles may do a lot of things that justify questions, but the ceremony is not one of them. This is one of the highlights of the season for me.
